We research, build,
& ship our own products.
An independent studio turning applied AI, deep-tech, and regulated-software research into production products we own end-to-end — from idea to shipped.
Our Products
Built in-house. Shipped to production.
Products we researched, built, own, and operate ourselves — the proof behind the studio.
in2Play
Pickleball ranking, matching & community
A Flutter app that ranks players, matches opponents by skill, and runs local pickleball communities — competitive play made effortless.

Capabilities
What we research & build.
The disciplines our lab works across — the same stack behind every product we ship.
Applied AI & ML
LLM-powered features, computer vision (including retinal image analysis), autonomous agents, and smart automation — engineered for production, not demos.
Regulated Software
HIPAA-compliant health platforms with audit logging, encryption, and access controls — privacy-first systems that satisfy compliance teams.
Cross-Platform Engineering
Flutter for iOS, Android, and web from a single codebase; React and Astro for the web. Native feel, one source of truth.
Cloud & Edge Architecture
Serverless-first design on GCP and AWS — event-driven workflows, edge compute, infrastructure-as-code, and observability baked in.
Product R&D
Discovery → research → prototype → ship. We treat every build as a research project with a production deadline.
Security & IP
Secure-by-default engineering and clean IP ownership — we own what we research and build, end to end.
Research
Built on real R&D.
A research-performing organization — not a body shop. Our founder has led federally funded R&D as principal investigator, and the studio ships what it researches.
Who's behind it
Deliberately small. Senior by default.
One senior engineer amplified by modern AI development tooling — a deliberately small studio that researches, builds, and operates its own products.

FAQ
Questions about the studio.
What exactly is IN2Labs Studio? +
IN2Labs is an independent product & R&D studio based in Boston, MA. We research, design, build, and ship our own software products — applied AI, deep-tech, and regulated (HIPAA-compliant) software — and own the resulting IP end-to-end. We're a research-performing organization that ships, not a consulting body shop.
Do you only build your own products, or do you take on partners? +
Our primary work is in-house — products we own and operate. We also selectively partner with founders and organizations on ambitious co-developments, and take on a small amount of fractional & advisory work through our sister site, IN2Labs. Partnerships are a side of the studio, not the main act.
What kind of R&D do you do? +
Our research spans applied AI and machine learning (including computer vision), autonomous agents, HIPAA-compliant health software, cross-platform engineering (Flutter for iOS/Android/web), and cloud & edge architecture. Every product we ship starts as a research question with a production deadline.
What's your R&D pedigree? +
Our founder leads R&D as principal investigator and lead engineer, with 15+ years across government systems and consumer apps. His track record includes R&D at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and, separately, service as principal investigator on an NSF SBIR Phase I award made to Preventa Medical Corporation. We actively pursue federal and state R&D opportunities. What makes that credible is a funded principal-investigator track record, not headcount — IN2Labs is deliberately one senior engineer.
Are you eligible for or pursuing SBIR/STTR and state R&D grants? +
Yes. Our founder brings a direct NSF SBIR award history as principal investigator, and we're actively evaluating federal SBIR/STTR opportunities alongside Massachusetts state R&D programs. See our Grants page for more detail on the kind of research partnerships we're built for.
Where are you based, and how can we work with you? +
We're based in Boston, Massachusetts. IN2Labs is a one-person senior practice — the founder is the engineer, AI-augmented to move fast. If you're a founder, funder, grant program, or organization interested in collaborating or co-developing, the best first step is a short conversation — reach out via the contact page.
